The Hornby Arnold N scale track system is made up of 28 track components. There are four radii curves from radius 1 (192mm) to radius 4 (430mm). The HN8012 4th radius curve can be used with all points and corssings to create parallel running lines. The system has a number of technically advanced design features making it the professional track of choice. * Nickel Silver rail: Won’t rust, nor oxidise. Maintains electrical conductivity. * Chemically blackened: Just like the wheels of most locomotive models today – designed to make the track look realistic. * Dark Brown Sleepers: Exactly like the real thing, coloured to match real life. *Secure Connections: The offset rails improve smooth running of rolling stock and reduced noise at each joint. Long fishplates ensure good electrical connectivity. Modern tooling and moulding ensures each connection fits perfectly – no bending or jamming – or sore fingers. * Rail Profile: Dirt can’t accumulate on the curved rail head making the track almost ‘self cleaning’ * Positive Powered Crossing Frog Even the smallest locomotives can run through our points without stalling thanks to continuous electrical supply to the entire frog. * Narrow 15 degree points Our points, 3 way points and double slips all have 15 degree divergence – meaning you can fit complicated track work into small spaces. Plus it looks realistic! * Stop Switch function Power is only supplied to the chosen direction of travel through the point, meaning no run away locomotives on the other track * Left or Right handed Operate your points from either side with the Left or Right hand point motors. Simple clip on. Plus same motors work the double slip and Curved points * Low profile point motors Slim line motors fit snugly to all points and ensure nothing protrudes to foul rolling stock. * Safety Cut out on point motors: No matter how long or hard the button is pressed – the operator can’t burn out Arnold point motors as they automatically turn off after changing the point
